The Uptown Writer - "This book was sad and rightfully so. The author did a commendable job of seeking out tons of people from all over and nailing them down as to where they were when 911 took place. The accounts are heart-rendering and honest--every single one of them. It provides a slice of life not found in traditional journalism...although it is a type of journalism. The book provides snapshots into the common person's life as it was interrupted by events so huge and tragic that all of us had a "freeze frame" that day. This book will make you think. It is easy to read but can bring up many different emotions. I had to put it down and wait to finish it a day or two later so I could digest it. You will learn something about yourself by reading this book as so many of us "shared" that unfortunate, historic day."
